Guest check-in software for short-term rental hosts

GuestCheckNow is a live South African software-as-a-service product. Hosts use it after a booking is confirmed on Airbnb, Booking.com or another platform. Guests open a private link on their phone to get access codes, directions, house rules and a digital check-in form.

Host login / sign up Contact us

This page does not require a login. Host dashboards and guest portals are signed in because they hold private booking data. Payment partners can review our business activities here, plus the privacy and refund policies.

What the product does

GuestCheckNow is not an accommodation listing site. Hosts already take bookings elsewhere. We provide the check-in pack and, if the host asks, a way for the guest to pay a deposit or the stay.

  • Hosts save access codes, Wi-Fi, parking notes, maps, welcome messages and PDF documents (house rules, indemnities) per property.
  • They create a booking and send the guest a private link.
  • Guests open that link on any phone, read the stay details, complete a check-in form, and pay a deposit when the host requested one. Guests do not pay for the GuestCheckNow software.

Who we serve

Short-term rental hosts and their overnight guests, mainly in South Africa. Typical customers are owners and managers of holiday homes, guest houses and rooms listed on Airbnb or Booking.com.

How money moves

There are two separate payment types. Both are processed in South African rand through Paystack.

  1. Host software subscriptions — paid by the host to GuestCheckNow for use of the app. Checkout methods: Ozow Instant EFT (preferred), Visa/Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  2. Guest stay payments (optional deposit or full stay) — paid by the guest on behalf of the host. GuestCheckNow provides checkout. The stay amount is paid out to the host’s own South African bank account via a Paystack subaccount. GuestCheckNow does not take a software cut of the stay. Paystack’s processing fee is deducted from the host payout (about 2.3% on Ozow Instant EFT, or about 3.3% plus R1.15 on cards, including VAT).

We do not store full card numbers. Paystack, and Ozow where Instant EFT is used, handle the payment session.

Host subscription pricing

Plan USD value Typical ZAR checkout Includes
First month $0 R0 30 days full access
5 months $60 R1 100 First property, first 2 rooms
Annual $110 R1 999 First property, first 2 rooms
Each extra property $110 / year R1 999 / year Same annual rate
Each extra room (from 3rd) $15 / year R270 / year Not pro-rated

USD is the plan value GuestCheckNow aims to receive. The rand amount at checkout uses that week’s USD/ZAR rate. Ozow Instant EFT is the default host checkout method because it has a lower Paystack fee than cards.

Host dashboards require an account because they contain guest names, booking dates, access codes and uploaded documents. That private area is not used to hide the nature of the business. This public page is the product description for customers and for payment-partner review.
