GuestCheckNow is a software service for short-term rental hosts. Hosts share access codes, welcome notes, directions, documents and digital check-in forms with guests, and may collect a deposit or stay payment from the guest.

This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to contact us. It applies to the website, the Android app, and the iOS app.

1. Who we are

GuestCheckNow is operated from South Africa. Contact: info@guestchecknow.co.za.

2. Information we collect

  • Host account: name, email, phone, password (stored by our sign-in provider), property details, access notes, documents you upload, and booking records you create.
  • Guest check-in forms: the details a guest submits for a stay (for example name, contact, vehicle, arrival). That information is for the host of that booking.
  • Payments: subscription and stay checkout is handled by Paystack, PayPal, or Payfast. We receive payment status and a reference. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical logs: basic server logs such as IP address, browser, and time of request, used to keep the service running and to investigate faults.

3. How we use it

  • To run the host dashboard and guest portal.
  • To send guest links and stay details that the host asked us to share.
  • To process host subscriptions and guest stay payments on behalf of the host.
  • To prevent abuse and to comply with law.

We do not sell personal information.

4. Who we share it with

  • The host of a booking receives guest check-in and payment status for that stay.
  • Payment processors: Paystack, PayPal, Payfast, and banks they pay out to.
  • Infrastructure: hosting, authentication and database providers needed to run the app (currently including Netlify and Google Firebase).
  • Authorities if required by law.

5. Apple App Store and Google Play

The iOS and Android apps load the GuestCheckNow website in a native shell. The same account and data are used as on the website. Software subscriptions for hosts are purchased on the website, not as an Apple in-app purchase. Guest stay deposits and stay payments are for a real-world lodging booking and may be completed in the app.

6. How long we keep data

Host accounts and related bookings stay until the host asks us to delete them, or until we close an unused account after notice. Payment records are kept as long as tax and dispute rules require.

7. Your choices

Email info@guestchecknow.co.za to access, correct, or delete your host account data. Guests should ask the host first, because the host is the party that collected the stay details. We will help where we hold a copy.

8. Children

GuestCheckNow is for hosts running a rental business. It is not directed at children under 13.

9. Security

We use HTTPS and access controls on the cloud database. No internet service is perfectly secure. Use a unique password.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
